Lynn's Chocolate Stuff

This indulgent, energy boosting, tiffin-like cake is delicious! In terms of healthy-ness, I would advise small quantities, but it is so rich that small amounts are rather appealing. I got the recipe from Lynn, a relation (to use a rather formal word) and have loved it. Personally, I find the combination of dark chocolate and sweet golden syrup works exceptionally well, but if you find it a bit dark, then I'm sure it would work just as well with half milk chocolate, half dark instead. Makes about 20 pieces, depending on how small you cut them. The quantities work well halved, if you don't have many people round.

Ingredients:
- 200g good quality dark chocolate
- 250g butter
- 1 packet (approx. 300g) digestive biscuits, crushed
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- about 3 tbsp cocoa
Method:
1. Melt the chocolate, butter and golden syrup into a saucepan
2. When the sauce is smooth, remove from heat, or just turn the heat down, and add the digestive biscuits, crushed
Tip: when crushing biscuits, or indeed anything, put it in a plastic sealed bag onto a chopping board and hit with rolling pin (or hammer!)

3. Stir in the cocoa

4. Spread the mixture over a lined baking tray (you don't have to go all the way to the end if the tray is too big) and refrigerate for at least 2 hours
5. Cut up when completely set and try to restrain from eating the whole lot at once!
